Reliable Process Circuit Filtration
aquaPROFI self-cleaning filters for closed process circuits. Fully automatic, without interruption – 24/7 operational reliability.
Why aquaPROFI?
Reliable performance for harsh environments.
Protection Against Contamination
Precision wire mesh down to 2 µm guarantees clear separation and reliably protects against organics, sediments and suspended solids.

Minimal Maintenance
Designed for maximum serviceability. Replacement of wear parts without lifting tools and in minutes directly on site.
Strong Against Fibers
We don't build backwash filters.
The suction-based self-cleaning through our special suction nozzles is particularly effective against long-fiber particles.
Engineering Excellence
We deliver not just components, but also complete system solutions for demanding applications.
- In-house manufacturing from container adaptation to PLC programming
- ISO 9001 Certified

Self-cleaning – without interruption
Water flows through the filter element from inside to outside. Dirt particles remain on the inner screen – and are automatically removed.
Filtration
Raw water flows through the screen element from inside to outside. Dirt particles remain inside and form a filter cake. The differential pressure rises continuously.
- Water flows axially into the screen element
- Particles are caught on the inner screen
- Differential pressure rises as trigger

Filter Cake Formation
The retained particles form a filter cake on the inner screen. The differential pressure rises until the set threshold is reached – then self-cleaning starts automatically.
- Filter cake improves fineness
- Differential pressure monitoring triggers cleaning
- Threshold freely adjustable
Self-cleaning
When the differential pressure is reached, the flush valve opens. The motor rotates the suction nozzles in a spiral pattern along the inner screen – the vacuum precisely removes the filter cake.
- No interruption of filtrate flow
- Vacuum removes dirt precisely across the entire surface
- Only 30 seconds flush time and minimal backwash volume

Circuit Maintenance in Air Washer
Separation of flue gas particles from aggressive medium
A specially conditioned medium is cycled here to clean flue gases from a specialized combustion. So that the valuable and aggressive medium can be used for as long as possible, our filter separates a highly concentrated particle slurry. The eccentric screw pumps in the circuit benefit particularly from this, with their service life multiplied many times over.
- System: Aggressive washing liquid with mercury and fluoride
- Application: Flue gas treatment and protection of eccentric screw pumps
- Challenge: Fine fly ash with up to 100 g/l loading
- Solution: An edge gap filter with pneumatic cleaning that utilizes the natural sedimentation of the slurry.
Protection of Nozzles and Sub-systems
Retention of product particles without discharge from the system
Whether recycled construction debris or paper fibers – aquaPROFI protects parts of the process circuit from clogging and flushes the valuable solids to where they belong.
- System: Process circuit with valuable cargo
- Application: Protection of spray nozzles
- Challenge: Large variety of particles, including long fibers
- Solution: The special suction nozzles in the filter

High-Temperature Application in Chemical Park
High filtration demands in extreme conditions
A special design with temperature-resistant materials allows sterilization of the entire system. Continuous operation, no manual maintenance, minimal backwash loss – even under the highest demands.
- System: Process circuit (closed circuit)
- Application: Life sciences / chemical industry
- Challenge: Regular sterilization of the entire pipeline with steam
- Solution: Specially selected materials for proven technology
10 µm Filtration in the Main Flow
Redundant filtration of sodium hydroxide at 30 m³/h
Two parallel aquaPROFI AP 7025 filters provide redundant filtration at high fineness. Maintenance work on one filter can be carried out while the other takes over the full flow. In normal operation, we benefit from particularly calm flow conditions.
- System: Flue gas desulfurization
- Application: Sodium hydroxide with gypsum suspension
- Challenge: Continuous filtration of 30 m³/h at 10 µm
- Solution: Dual installation with large filter area in V4A
